Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs
Strawberry-Grape Toss
Ingredients
- 12 slices low-sodium bacon
- 1 (10.3-oz) pkg uncured beef hot dogs
- 6 slices Cheddar cheese, cut in half
- 6 hot dog buns, split
- 6 Tbsp olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425°F. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain on paper towels.
- Meanwhile, cut a lengthwise slit in each hot dog, cutting to but not through the other side. Place on a large rimmed baking sheet; bake 10 minutes.
- Layer cheese slices, bacon, and hot dogs in hot dog buns. Brush both sides with oil and return to baking sheet. Place a second baking sheet over hot dogs to press top bun flat while baking.
- Return to oven, and bake 10 to 15 minutes or until buns are crisp and cheese is melted.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg strawberries, sliced
- 1 lb seedless red grapes
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss fruit together in a bowl; chill until ready to serve.
