Homemade Chorizo Sausage Patties

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ground chipotle chile pepper
  • 1 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ⅛ tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil, divided

Instructions

  1. Combine pork, onions, garlic, seasoning, vinegar, salt, pepper, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Shape pork mixture into 8 patties.
  2. Cook patties, in 2 batches, in ½ Tbsp hot oil per batch in a large skillet over medium-high heat 4 minutes per side or until centers are no longer pink.

  • 1 navel orange
  • 2 avocados, sliced

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Remove peel from orange with a paring knife. Slice orange into ¼-inch-thick rounds, collecting the juices in a small bowl.
  2. Arrange orange and avocado slices on a platter; drizzle with juice.
