Chicken Parmesan Stromboli

Ingredients

  • 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen breaded chicken nuggets
  • 1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce, divided
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Place nuggets in a single layer on a lightly greased baking sheet; bake 15 minutes. Coarsely chop.
  2. Unroll dough on a clean surface. Top with ½ cup marinara sauce, chopped chicken, and cheeses, leaving a 1-inch border on all sides; roll up, jelly-roll fashion, starting with one long side.
  3. Place, seam side down, on a lightly greased large baking sheet. Cut 1-inch slits in top of roll at 2-inch intervals. Brush with beaten egg.
  4. Bake 30 to 40 minutes or until golden brown; let stand 10 minutes before slicing.
