Chicken and Waffles Casserole
Ingredients
- 16 frozen waffles
- 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen breaded chicken nuggets, partially thawed
- 12 large eggs
- 1½ cups milk
- ½ cup maple syrup
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Toast waffles according to package directions. Cut nuggets into bite-sized pieces.
- Meanwhile, whisk together eggs, milk, syrup, and cinnamon in a large bowl. Tear waffles into bite-sized pieces, and add to egg mixture along with chicken; stir.
- Cover and chill 8 hours; stir again. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.
- Spoon mixture into a lightly greased 13 -x 9-inch baking dish. Cover and bake 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 30 minutes longer or until center is set.
