Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg orzo
  • ¼ cup butter
  • 2 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 carrots, chopped
  • 1 cup finely chopped celery
  • ¼ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large deep skillet over medium heat. Add chicken, carrots, and celery; cook 6 minutes or until chicken is done.
  3. Stir in flour, thyme, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper. Cook over medium heat 2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  4. Slowly stir in milk; cook until thickened. Stir in cheese until blended. Stir in pasta. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

  • 1 (16.3-oz) can refrigerated flaky-layers biscuits
  • ¼ cup butter, softened
  • ¼ cup minced strawberries
  • 1 Tbsp honey

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake biscuits according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, stir together softened butter, strawberries, and honey until blended. Serve with biscuits.
