Texas Barbecue-Bacon Sandwiches

Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg bacon
- 2 lb ground beef
- 1 Tbsp barbecue seasoning
- 12 slices Texas toast
- 1 cup barbecue sauce, divided
- 12 slices Cheddar cheese
- ¼ cup mayonnaise
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy; drain on paper towels.
- Meanwhile, stir together beef and barbecue seasoning; shape into 12 thin patties. Grill patties, covered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Grill toast 1 minute per side or until toasted.
- Spread 1 Tbsp barbecue sauce on each patty; top with cheese. Let stand until melted.
- Stir together mayonnaise and ¼ cup barbecue sauce in a small bowl. Spread mayonnaise mixture over 1 side of toast slices. Serve 2 cheese-topped burgers and bacon on toast.

- ½ (24-oz) jar dill pickle spears
Side Dish Instructions
- Bake onion rings according to package directions. Serve pickle spears on each plate.
