Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 2 (24-oz) jars marinara sauce
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • 1 (25-oz) pkg frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet. Add marinara sauce, stirring to blend.
  2. Meanwhile, stir together ricotta, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, and basil in a bowl.
  3. Spread ⅓ of meat mixture in bottom of a lightly greased 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with a single layer of ravioli, ⅓ of meat mixture, half of ricotta mixture, and 1 cup shredded cheese.
  4. Repeat layers with remaining ravioli, meat mixture, ricotta mixture, and shredded cheese.
  5. Lightly cover with foil (see Note), and bake 30 minutes. Uncover, and bake 20 minutes longer or until hot and bubbly.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (8-oz) French baguette, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 2 tsp Greek seasoning
  • 2 (10-oz) pkg chopped romaine lettuce
  • ⅓ cup vinaigrette-style Caesar dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Toss together bread cubes, oil, melted butter, and seasoning on a large rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer.
  2. Bake 20 minutes or until toasted, stirring halfway through baking. Cool.
  3. Meanwhile, toss together lettuce and dressing. Top with croutons.
