Apple Whiskey Sour

Ingredients

  • ⅔ cup water
  • ⅓ cup packed brown sugar
  • 6 oz apple-flavored Tennessee whiskey
  • ½ cup sparkling apple cider
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup fresh lime juice
  • Garnish: apple slices

Instructions

  1. Combine water and brown sugar in a small saucepan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat, stirring to dissolve. Remove from heat, and cool to room temperature.
  2. Pour brown sugar simple syrup into a heat-proof container (makes ½ cup). Chill at least 4 hours.
  3. Combine whiskey, brown sugar simple syrup, sparkling apple cider, lemon juice, and lime juice in a pitcher.
  4. Fill 4 old fashioned glasses half full with ice. Divide whiskey mixture among glasses; garnish, if desired.
