Ingredients

  • 2½ lb asparagus, trimmed
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Toss together asparagus and oil on a large rimmed baking sheet; spread in a single layer. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Bake 10 minutes or until asparagus is lightly browned and tender.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add breadcrumbs and garlic; cook, stirring occasionally, until breadcrumbs are toasted.
  3. Transfer asparagus to a platter; sprinkle with toasted breadcrumbs.
