Greek Chicken Burgers
Tzatziki Sauce with Pita and Bell PeppersWine Recommendation

Ingredients
- 1½ lb ground chicken
- ½ cup whole wheat panko breadcrumbs
- ⅓ cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 2 Tbsp chopped fresh dill
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 6 hamburger buns (preferably whole wheat)
- 1 tomato, sliced
- ½ cup crumbled feta cheese
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Gently mix together chicken, breadcrumbs, onion, egg, dill, oregano, and garlic powder using your hands.
- Shape mixture into 6 patties. Grill patties, uncovered, 5 to 6 minutes per side or until centers are no longer pink.
- Serve burgers on buns with tomato, Tzatziki Sauce recipe, and cheese.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 lemon
- 1 large English cucumber, coarsely chopped
- 1½ cups Greek yogurt
- ½ cup chopped fresh dill
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 (6-inch) pita bread rounds (preferably whole wheat), cut into triangles
- 3 large organic bell peppers, (red, green, and yellow), sliced
Side Dish Instructions
- Grate zest from lemon to equal ½ tsp; squeeze juice equal to 2 Tbsp. Combine cucumber, yogurt, dill, garlic, lemon juice, and zest in a bowl.
- Serve prepared sauce on burgers and with pita bread and bell peppers.
