Herby Whipped Feta Pasta

Ingredients

  • 1 lemon
  • ½ (16-oz) pkg tagliatelle pasta
  • 2 tsp olive oil, divided
  • ½ (8-oz) block feta cheese, at room temperature
  • ¼ cup whipped cream cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • ½ (0.5-oz) pkg fresh basil, divided
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh oregano
  • ¼ tsp kosher salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly ground pepper
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes (preferably multicolored), halved
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic glaze

Instructions

  1. Grate 1 tsp zest and squeeze ½ Tbsp juice from lemon. Cook pasta according to package directions; drain and toss with 1 tsp oil.
  2. Meanwhile, process feta, cream cheese, 1 tsp oil, garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, half of basil, oregano, salt, and pepper in a food processor until smooth, scraping sides as needed.
  3. Serve whipped feta over pasta; top with tomatoes, and drizzle with glaze.
