Two-Cheese Spaghetti with Bacon
Garlic BreadIngredients
- 1 (12-oz) pkg bacon, chopped
- 12 oz spaghetti
- 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen green peas
- 2 Tbsp butter
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
- ½ (8-oz) block cream cheese, cubed
- 1 cup Caesar croutons, coarsely crushed
Instructions
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain.
- Cook pasta according to package directions, adding peas during last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain, reserving 2 cups pasta water.
- Return 1 cup pasta water to pot; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add butter and mustard, stirring until butter melts.
- Very gradually stir in cheeses until melted, adding additional pasta water to thin mixture, if needed. Stir in pasta and bacon; sprinkle with crushed croutons.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ½ (14-oz) loaf French bread
- 2 Tbsp olive oil
- 1½ tsp garlic powder
- 1½ tsp Italian seasoning
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut bread in half lengthwise; place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil; sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
- Bake, cut sides up, 8 minutes or until toasted.
