Two-Cheese Spaghetti with Bacon

Ingredients

  • 1 (12-oz) pkg bacon, chopped
  • 12 oz spaghetti
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen green peas
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1½ cups shredded Cheddar cheese
  • ½ (8-oz) block cream cheese, cubed
  • 1 cup Caesar croutons, coarsely crushed

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crisp; drain.
  2. Cook pasta according to package directions, adding peas during last 2 minutes of cooking. Drain, reserving 2 cups pasta water.
  3. Return 1 cup pasta water to pot; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Add butter and mustard, stirring until butter melts.
  4. Very gradually stir in cheeses until melted, adding additional pasta water to thin mixture, if needed. Stir in pasta and bacon; sprinkle with crushed croutons.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (14-oz) loaf French bread
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1½ tsp garlic powder
  • 1½ tsp Italian seasoning

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut bread in half lengthwise; place on a baking sheet. Drizzle with oil; sprinkle with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  2. Bake, cut sides up, 8 minutes or until toasted.
