Pan-Fried Cheesy Tacos

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground beef
  • 1 (1-oz) envelope low-sodium taco seasoning mix
  • ⅓ cup water
  • 3 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 6 soft-taco size flour tortillas
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Mexican-blend cheese
  • 1 (16-oz) container white cheese dip
  • 1 (16-oz) container refrigerated guacamole

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly; drain, and return to skillet. Stir in taco seasoning mix and water; cook until mixture is very thick. Transfer mixture to a large bowl; wipe skillet clean.
  2. Melt 1 Tbsp butter in skillet over medium heat.
  3. Spoon about ½ cup beef mixture over 1 side of each tortilla; sprinkle each with about ⅓ cup cheese. Fold sides of tortilla over filling and place tacos in hot skillet, 2 at a time.
  4. Cook, 3 to 4 minutes per side or until tortillas are browned and cheese is melted. Repeat with remaining butter and tacos.
  5. Heat cheese dip according to package directions. Serve cheese dip and guacamole for dipping.
