Oven-Baked French Onion Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 6 hamburger buns
  • 3 cups shredded rotisserie chicken
  • 1 (8-oz) block Swiss cheese, shredded
  • 3 Tbsp butter, melted
  • 1½ tsp Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Cook onion in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 8 to 10 minutes or until browned and tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Place bottom half of buns on a 13- x 9-inch baking dish. Top with chicken, onions, cheese, and bun tops.
  3. Combine melted butter and Italian seasoning. Brush mixture over bun tops. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until buns tops are golden and cheese melts.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (20-oz) pkg frozen broccoli stir-fry
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¾ cup Italian dressing

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook vegetables in hot oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned and tender.
  2. Toss vegetables with dressing. Chill or serve warm.
