Brown Sugar Baked Apples
Ingredients
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup chopped pecans
- ½ cup old-fashioned oats
- ½ cup raisins
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- ½ tsp grated nutmeg
- 6 Fuji apples, cored (or use any baking apples)
- 6 Tbsp butter, cut into 6 pieces
- 1 cup apple cider
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir together sugar, nuts, oats, raisins, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Place apples, upright, in a baking dish. Spoon sugar mixture in center of each apple, pressing down firmly. Top with butter. Pour cider into dish; cover with foil.
- Bake 30 minutes. Uncover and bake 15 minutes longer or until apples are tender and topping is browned. Cut apples in half, and serve warm.
