Ingredients

  • 1 (7-oz) pkg ultra thin pastrami
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • 2 lb ground beef
  • 1½ Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 6 slices Swiss cheese
  • ½ (16-oz) bottle Thousand Island dressing
  • 6 sesame seed buns
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook pastrami, in batches, in 1½ Tbsp butter per batch in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crispy.
  2. Mix beef and seasoning. Shape into 6 patties.
  3. Grill patties or cook in a large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top with cheese.
  4. Spread dressing on cut sides of buns. Serve burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, and crispy pastrami.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (26-oz) pkg frozen extra crispy French fries
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
  • Ketchup (optional)

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions; sprinkle with rosemary. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper while hot, if desired. Serve with ketchup, if desired.
