Ingredients

  • ½ (7-oz) pkg ultra thin pastrami
  • 1½ Tbsp butter
  • ¾ lb ground beef
  • ½ Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 2 slices Swiss cheese
  • ¼ cup Thousand Island dressing
  • 2 sesame seed buns
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 small tomato, sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook pastrami in butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat until browned and crispy.
  2. Mix beef and seasoning. Shape into 2 patties. Grill patties or cook in large skillet over medium-high heat 5 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top with cheese.
  3. Spread dressing on cut sides of buns. Serve burgers on buns with lettuce, tomato, and crispy pastrami.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (26-oz) pkg frozen extra crispy French fries
  • 1 Tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
  • Ketchup (optional)

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions; sprinkle with rosemary. Season with salt and freshly ground pepper while hot, if desired. Serve with ketchup, if desired.
