Apple Crumble

Ingredients

  • 8 cups peeled, cored, and sliced Honeycrisp apples
  • ½ cup apple cider
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup plus 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour, divided
  • ¾ tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • ½ (48-oz) carton vanilla ice cream
  • ½ (16-oz) bottle sea salt caramel sauce (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir together apples, cider, granulated sugar, 2 Tbsp flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish.
  2. Meanwhile, stir together oats, ¾ cup flour, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture.
  3. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream. Drizzle with caramel sauce, if desired.
