Apple Crumble
Ingredients
- 8 cups peeled, cored, and sliced Honeycrisp apples
- ½ cup apple cider
- ¼ cup granulated sugar
- ¾ cup plus 2 Tbsp all-purpose flour, divided
- ¾ tsp ground cinnamon
- ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 cup quick-cooking oats
- ½ cup packed brown sugar
- ½ cup butter, melted
- ½ (48-oz) carton vanilla ice cream
- ½ (16-oz) bottle sea salt caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Stir together apples, cider, granulated sugar, 2 Tbsp flour, cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl. Pour mixture into a lightly greased 2-quart baking dish.
- Meanwhile, stir together oats, ¾ cup flour, brown sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until crumbly. Sprinkle over apple mixture.
- Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until apples are tender and topping is golden brown. Serve warm with ice cream. Drizzle with caramel sauce, if desired.
