Cube Steak Sandwiches

Sweet Potato Fries

Ingredients

  • ½ lb beef cube steaks
  • ½ tsp seasoned salt
  • 2 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 1 cup less-sodium beef broth
  • 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 sub rolls, halved lengthwise
  • 2 Tbsp mayonnaise
  • ½ Tbsp Dijon mustard (optional)
  • ⅓ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Thinly slice steaks across the grain, and sprinkle with seasoned salt. Melt 1 Tbsp butter in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat; add steak, and cook 5 to 6 minutes or until browned.
  2. Add broth and Worcestershire sauce; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until most of liquid is absorbed. Stir in 1 Tbsp butter.
  3. Preheat broiler. Broil rolls, cut sides up, until toasted. Stir together mayonnaise and mustard, if desired; spread on cut sides of rolls. Serve meat mixture on rolls with cheese.
