Ham, Cheese, and Broccoli Pastry

Crispy Potato Chips and Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • ½ (8-oz) carton chive and onion cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
  • ½ Tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1½ cups chopped broccoli florets
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg diced cooked ham, drained
  • ½ (17.3-oz) box frozen puff pastry, thawed
  • 1 large egg, lightly beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Stir together cream cheese, Cheddar, and mustard in a large bowl. Add broccoli and ham, stir until blended.
  2. Unfold puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface; roll into a 15- x 12-inch rectangle.
  3. Mound ham mixture down center third of pastry sheet, leaving a 1-inch border on each end; fold ends over filling.
  4. Fold sides of pastry over filling to completely enclose filling.
  5. Place pastry, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet. Cut 2-inch slits down center of pastry to allow steam to escape. Brush top with beaten egg.
  6. Bake 25 to 30 minutes or until pastry is puffed and golden brown. Cool slightly; slice to serve.

  • 1 (1-lb) container deli fruit salad
