Philly Cheesesteak Chicken Sandwiches

Ingredients

  • 2 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 green bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1¾ cups low-sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (0.7-oz) envelope Italian dressing mix
  • 6 hoagie rolls
  • 6 slices provolone cheese

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker; top with bell peppers, onion, garlic, and broth. Sprinkle with seasoning mix. Cover and cook on LOW 8 hours.
  2. Shred chicken in cooker; mix well. Split hoagie rolls, and place 1 slice cheese on one side of each roll on a baking sheet.
  3. Preheat broiler. Broil rolls 1 to 2 minutes until lightly browned and cheese melts. Top with chicken mixture.

  • 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen seasoned French fries

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions.
