Mexican Sloppy Dogs
Tomato-Green Onion Coleslaw
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
- 2 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 Tbsp chili powder
- 6 Angus beef hot dogs
- 6 hot dog buns, split
- 1 (8-oz) block Cheddar cheese, shredded
- ½ cup sour cream
- 1 cup crushed tortilla chips
Instructions
- Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet. Add tomato sauce, mustard, and chili powder. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until thickened.
- Cook hot dogs according to package directions.
- Preheat broiler. Place buns, cut sides up, on a baking sheet; broil until lightly toasted. Place hot dogs in buns. Top with beef mixture; sprinkle with cheese. Top with sour cream and chips.

- ¼ cup olive oil
- 3 Tbsp rice vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 (16-oz) pkg tricolor coleslaw
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
- 4 green onions, finely chopped
Side Dish Instructions
- Whisk together oil, vinegar, honey, and mustard in a large bowl. Add coleslaw, tomatoes, and onions; toss.
