Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground sirloin
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 (13.8-oz) cans refrigerated pizza dough
  • 1½ cups pizza sauce
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Cook beef and mushrooms in hot oil in a large skillet 8 minutes or until beef is browned and crumbly and mushrooms are lightly browned. Stir in garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
  2. Cut dough into 6 equal pieces. Roll out dough into rounds. Spread pizza sauce on one half of dough pieces; top with beef mixture and cheese. Fold dough over filling, pressing edges to seal.
  3. Place calzones on a lightly greased baking sheet; prick surface of dough several times with a fork. Bake 10 to 15 minutes or until browned.
