Caramelized Honey-Sesame Drumsticks
Crunchy Asian Slaw and Snow Peas
Ingredients
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp Creole seasoning
- 3 lb chicken drumsticks
- ¼ cup butter, melted
- ¼ cup honey
- ¼ cup packed brown sugar
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine flour and Creole seasoning in a zip-top plastic bag. Add chicken; seal bag, and shake to coat.
- Place coated chicken on a lightly greased wire rack over a rimmed baking sheet; brush chicken with melted butter. Bake 25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, stir together honey, brown sugar, lemon juice, and soy sauce in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until sugar is dissolved. Brush honey mixture over chicken.
- Return chicken to oven, and bake 20 minutes longer or until chicken is done.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 (3-oz) pkg ramen noodles (any flavor)
- 1 (16-oz) pkg tricolor coleslaw
- ½ (10-oz) pkg shredded carrots
- 1 (15-oz) can mandarin oranges, drained
- 3 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
- ¼ cup Asian toasted sesame dressing
- 2 (8-oz) pkg snow peas
Side Dish Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Discard seasoning packets from ramen noodles. Break noodles into small pieces, and spread onto a baking sheet. Bake 6 to 8 minutes or until toasted.
- Combine coleslaw, carrots, oranges, cilantro, and ramen noodles in a large bowl. Add dressing; toss.
- Cook snow peas according to package directions.
