Warm Spiced Chai
Ingredients
- 1 cup water
- 1 chai tea bag
- 1 Tbsp agave nectar
- ¾ cup sweetened almond milk, heated
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 2 star anise
Instructions
- Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan; add tea bag. Remove from heat; cover and steep 5 minutes. Remove and discard tea bag.
- Whisk in agave, stirring until it dissolves. Cool completely.
- Divide tea between 2 mugs.
- Heat milk in a small saucepan over medium heat just until it begins to simmer. Remove from heat; transfer to a large bowl.
- Beat milk with a hand mixer until frothy.
- Use a spoon to hold back foam while dividing milk between mugs; stir to combine. Spoon thick foam onto each mug. Top each with a cinnamon stick and star anise. Makes 2 servings.
