Easy Beef Pies
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 (7-oz) can mild diced green chiles
- ¼ cup tomato paste
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- ¾ tsp salt
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (14.1-oz) pkg refrigerated piecrusts
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
- 1 cup guacamole salsa
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium-high heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned and crumbly. Drain and return mixture to skillet. Stir in chiles, tomato paste, cumin, chili powder, and salt; cook 2 to 3 minutes. Remove from heat; stir in cheese. Cool 10 minutes.
- Unroll piecrusts, pressing together any seams that may have broken. Cut each piecrust into three triangles. Spoon beef mixture into one corner of each triangle, leaving a ½-inch border. Fold dough over filling, and use a fork to seal edges.
- Place filled triangles on prepared baking sheet. Brush with beaten egg. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with guacamole salsa.
