Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg ground Italian sausage
  • 1 (3.5-oz) pkg pepperoni, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 (32-oz) carton less sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (24-oz) jar marinara sauce
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Cook sausage and pepperoni in a large Dutch oven over medium heat until sausage is browned and crumbly; drain well, and return to pot.
  2. Stir in tomato paste; cook, stirring, 2 minutes. Add broth, marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, onion powder, and garlic powder. Bring to a boil; reduce heat, and simmer 20 minutes. Stir in cheese just before serving.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1 (11-oz) can refrigerated thin-crust pizza dough
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F. Unroll dough onto a lightly greased large baking sheet. Brush dough with oil and sprinkle with oregano.
  2. Cut dough in half crosswise. Cut each half of dough lengthwise into strips. Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.
