Cherry Cola Pulled Pork Sandwiches
Green Apple Coleslaw and French Fries
Ingredients
- 1½ lb boneless Boston butt pork roast
- 1 (12-oz) bottle cherry cola soft drink
- ¼ cup ketchup
- 2 Tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1½ Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
- 3 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Place roast in a lightly greased 4- to 5-quart slow cooker; pour cola over pork. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or until pork is tender.
- Remove pork from cooker and shred with 2 forks, discarding fat.
- Meanwhile, bring liquid from cooker to a boil in a saucepan over medium-high heat; add ketchup, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Boil until thickened. Toss shredded pork with sauce and serve on buns.
Side Dish Ingredients
- ½ (16-oz) pkg tricolor coleslaw
- 1 Granny Smith apple, cut into matchsticks
- 1½ Tbsp olive oil
- 1½ Tbsp white wine vinegar
- 1 Tbsp honey
- ½ (32-oz) pkg frozen French fries
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss together coleslaw, apple, oil, vinegar, and honey in a large bowl; sprinkle with salt and pepper, if desired.
- Bake fries according to package directions. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.
