Buttercream Frosting and Candies

Ingredients

  • 2 cups butter, softened
  • 9 cups powdered sugar
  • ⅓ cup whole milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ (1-oz) bottle red food coloring
  • ½ (1-oz) bottle green food coloring
  • 1 (2.5-oz) bottle Christmas jimmies and sprinkles
  • 1 (3.5-oz) bottle green sanding sugar
  • 1 (3.5-oz) bottle red sanding sugar
  • 1 (10-oz) bag Christmas candy-coated milk chocolate pieces
  • 1 (10-oz) bag peppermint starlight mints hard candy
  • 1 (24-oz) pkg holiday spice drops jellies

Instructions

  1. Beat butter in a large bowl with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar, beating until blended. Beat in milk and vanilla until mixture is smooth.
  2. Divide buttercream among 3 bowls. Add desired amount of food coloring to 2 bowls, stirring until blended.
  3. Place sugars, sprinkles, and candies in small bowls.
