Ingredients

  • 2 lb ground beef (or use ground turkey)
  • 1½ (1-oz) envelopes taco seasoning mix
  • ⅓ cup refrigerated salsa
  • 6 (1-oz) individual-size pkg nacho cheese tortilla chips or corn chips
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded lettuce
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded Mexican-blend cheese (or use Cheddar)
  • 1 (16-oz) container guacamole
  • 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned and crumbly. Drain and return to skillet. Add seasoning mix, ⅓ cup water, and salsa. Simmer 2 to 3 minutes to thicken.
  2. Gently crush each bag of chips, and open bags down the front or at the top. Fill with beef and toppings. Eat straight from the bags.
