Lemony Chicken and Peas

Ingredients

  • 2 lemons, thinly sliced
  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 sweet onion, sliced
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg frozen green peas
  • 1 (10.5-oz) can cream of chicken soup
  • 1 cup less sodium chicken broth
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Place lemon slices in a single layer on bottom of 5- to 7-quart slow cooker. Top with chicken, onion, and peas.
  2. Spread soup and broth over peas. Layer remaining lemon slices over soup.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours.
  4. Stir in cream; cook 10 minutes or until heated through. Remove and discard lemon slices. Serve over pasta.
