Warm Bacon-Red Cabbage Slaw

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- ¼ cup finely chopped onion
- 1½ Tbsp less sodium soy sauce
- 1 tsp minced garlic
- ¾ cup shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
Instructions
- Preheat grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Gently mix together beef, onion, soy sauce, and garlic; shape into 3 patties.
- Grill, covered, 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Top patties with cheese; let stand until cheese melts.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 2 slices bacon
- ½ Tbsp olive oil
- 3 cups thinly sliced red cabbage
- 1 Tbsp red wine vinegar
- 1 green onion, chopped
- ¼ tsp salt
- ⅛ tsp pepper
Side Dish Instructions
- Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crisp. Drain, reserving drippings in skillet. Crumble bacon.
- Add oil to drippings. Cook cabbage in hot oil and drippings, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes or until cabbage is slightly wilted.
- Stir in vinegar, onion, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle with bacon.
