Smoky Tomato Short Ribs

Ingredients

  • 1¼ lb bone-in beef short ribs
  • ½ Tbsp Montreal steak seasoning
  • 1 cup beef broth 
  • ⅓ cup sliced sweet onion
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 (14.5-oz) can fire-roasted diced tomatoes

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle ribs with seasoning; place ribs, broth, onion, garlic, and tomatoes in a 3- or 4-quart slow cooker.
  2. Cover and cook on LOW 6 to 8 hours or until ribs are tender.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ½ (16-oz) pkg chopped mustard greens
  • 1 12 Tbsp olive oil
  • ¼ Tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ⅛ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook greens in boiling water in a large saucepan 3 to 5 minutes or until crisp-tender; drain well.
  2. Cook greens in hot oil in a large skillet over medium heat 3 minutes. Stir in vinegar, salt, and pepper.
