Korean Beef Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • 1½ lb ground sirloin
  • ½ cup ketchup
  • ½ cup hoisin sauce
  • ½ cup water
  • 2 Tbsp less sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 6 brioche buns
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a large nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned and crumbly.
  2. Stir in ketchup, hoisin, water, soy sauce, oil, vinegar, and garlic to pan; cook 5 minutes or until mixture thickens.
  3. Meanwhile, warm or toast buns; top with beef mixture and green onions, if desired.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp less sodium soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp Sriracha hot sauce
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg shredded coleslaw

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, soy sauce, peanut butter, lime juice, oil, and Sriracha sauce in a large bowl. Add coleslaw; toss.
