Cheesy Pepperoni Calzones
Caesar SaladIngredients
- 1 (13.8-oz) can refrigerated pizza dough
- ½ (6-oz) pkg pepperoni
- ½ (15-oz) carton whole milk ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 Tbsp fresh basil leaves
- 1 large egg, lightly beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Unroll pizza dough onto a flat surface. Cut dough into 4 squares.
- Arrange pepperoni, ricotta, mozzarella, and basil leaves over one side of each dough square; fold dough over to completely enclose filling, crimping edges to seal.
- Place calzones on 2 parchment paper-lined baking sheets; brush with beaten egg. Cut 3 slits in top of each calzone to allow steam to escape.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until calzones are golden brown. Serve 3, and reserve remaining calzone for another meal.
