Peanut Butter-Chocolate Crisp Bars

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 cup butter, melted
  • 1¼ cups creamy peanut butter, divided
  • 1½ cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1¾ cups crisp rice cereal

Instructions

  1. Combine graham cracker crumbs, powdered sugar, melted butter, and 1 cup peanut butter in a bowl; mix until well blended.
  2. Press mixture in bottom of an ungreased 9-inch square pan.
  3. Combine ¼ cup peanut butter and chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave at HIGH power in 30-second intervals, stirring until melted and smooth. Stir in cereal.
  4. Spread chocolate mixture over peanut butter layer in pan. Refrigerate at least 1 hour or overnight.
  5. Let stand at room temperature a few minutes before cutting into bars. Store bars in refrigerator. Makes 16 bars.
