Mushroom Gravy-Smothered Meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 (32-oz) pkg frozen fully cooked frozen homestyle meatballs
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 1 (16-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 2 cups less sodium beef broth

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Place meatballs on a wire rack on a rimmed baking sheet. Bake according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add mushrooms, onions, garlic, salt, and pepper; cook 6 minutes or until browned and tender.
  3. Stir in flour; cook 1 minute. Gradually add broth, stirring until blended. Return to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 10 minutes or until sauce is thickened. Stir in meatballs. Serve over Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes recipe.
