Green Tea-Lemonade Slush

Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 green tea bags
  • 1 cup lemon juice
  • ½ cup simple syrup
  • ½ cup cold water
  • ½ cup club soda

Instructions

  1. Bring water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat. Remove from heat; add tea bags. Cover and steep 5 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags, and transfer tea to a heatproof container. Chill 4 hours.
  3. Combine juice and simple syrup in a pitcher, stirring until dissolved. Stir in cold water. Lemonade makes 2 cups.
  4. Pour lemonade into ice cube trays (mixture will fill about 2 trays). Freeze 6 hours or overnight.
  5. Process half of green tea and half of lemonade ice cubes in a blender until smooth. Transfer to a pitcher. Repeat process with remaining tea and lemonade ice cubes. Stir in club soda. Pour into 6 glasses.
