Korean Beef Sloppy Joes

Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground sirloin
  • 3 Tbsp ketchup
  • 3 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 3 Tbsp water
  • 2 tsp less sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 brioche buns
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Cook beef in a nonstick skillet coated with cooking spray over medium heat 6 to 8 minutes or until browned and crumbly.
  2. Stir in ketchup, hoisin, water, soy sauce, oil, vinegar, and garlic to pan; cook 5 minutes or until mixture thickens.
  3. Meanwhile, warm or toast buns; top with beef mixture and green onion, if desired.

  • 2 Tbsp rice wine vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp less sodium soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 Tbsp lime juice
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp Sriracha hot sauce
  • 2 cups shredded coleslaw

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Combine vinegar, soy sauce, peanut butter, lime juice, oil, and Sriracha sauce in a bowl. Add coleslaw; toss.
