Pepperoni Patty Melts

Ingredients

  • ¾ lb ground beef
  • 4 thick sliced Texas toasts
  • ¾ cup pasta sauce
  • 4 slices mozzarella cheese
  • ¼ cup pepperoni 
  • 2 Tbsp butter, melted

Instructions

  1. Shape beef into 2 thin patties. Season patties lightly with salt and pepper, if desired. Cook patties in a skillet over medium-high heat 5 to 6 minutes per side or until no longer pink. Remove from skillet, and wipe skillet clean.
  2. On 1 side of each bread slice, spread about 2 Tbsp pasta sauce. Top half of bread slices with 1 cheese slice, patties, pepperoni, and remaining cheese slices. Cover with remaining bread slices, sauce side down.
  3. Brush outsides of sandwiches with butter. Cook in skillet over medium-high heat 3 to 4 minutes per side or until bread is toasted and cheese is melted.
  4. Serve sandwiches with remaining pasta sauce for dipping.

  • ½ (26-oz) pkg frozen thin cut French fries
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake fries according to package directions. Toss hot fries with seasoning.
