Ingredients

  • ⅓ cup sweet and sour sauce
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 Tbsp hoisin sauce
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp hot sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts

Instructions

  1. Stir together sweet and sour sauce, water, hoisin sauce, ginger, hot sauce, and garlic in a saucepan; bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring often. Reduce heat, and simmer 3 minutes, stirring often.
  2. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat. Cut chicken in half crosswise, and pound to an even thickness between plastic wrap using a meat mallet.
  3. Grill chicken, covered, 12 to 15 minutes or until done, brushing with sauce during last 5 minutes.
  4. Slice chicken, and serve over hot cooked rice.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1½ cups long grain white rice
  • 1 (12-oz) pkg frozen snow peas
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Cook rice according to package directions.
  2. Steam snow peas according to package directions; sprinkle with salt and pepper.
