Skillet Cheesy Shells and Beef
Mixed Greens Salad
Ingredients
- 12 oz shell pasta
- 1½ lb ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
- 1 Tbsp Italian seasoning
- 2 cups less sodium beef broth
- 1 (15-oz) can tomato sauce
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp pepper
- 1 (8-oz) carton sour cream
- 1 (8-oz) block mozzarella cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package directions; drain.
- Meanwhile, cook beef and onion in a large skillet over medium heat until beef is browned and crumbly; drain and return to skillet.
- Add flour and seasoning; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes. Gradually add broth, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes or until mixture is thickened. Stir in pasta, sour cream, and cheese until cheese melts.
Side Dish Ingredients
- 1 (16-oz) pkg mixed greens
- 1 pint grape tomatoes, halved
- ½ cup olive oil vinaigrette
Side Dish Instructions
- Toss together all ingredients in a large bowl.
