Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp pepper
  • 2 lb boneless pork shoulder roast, well trimmed
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 1¾ cups less sodium chicken broth

Instructions

  1. Stir together flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, dry mustard, and pepper; rub over all sides of pork.
  2. Place pork in a 5- to 7-quart slow cooker; add onion and broth.
  3. Cover and cook on LOW 8 to 10 hours or until pork is tender.

  • 2 (8.8-oz) pkg microwaveable long grain and wild rice
  • 2 (8-oz) pkg thin green beans
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • ½ cup chopped pecans
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Prepare rice and green beans according to package directions.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat; add nuts, and cook 5 minutes or until toasted.
  3. Stir in green beans, and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
