Ingredients

  • 1 (16-oz) pkg bow tie pasta
  • 1 lb asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2 inch pieces
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup less sodium chicken broth
  • 1 (5.2-oz) pkg garlic herb cheese
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, adding asparagus during last minute of cooking; drain and keep warm.
  2. Melt butter with oil in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat; add chicken and mushrooms. Cook, stirring often, until chicken is done. Add broth, cheese, salt, and pepper, stirring until cheese melts. Stir in pasta and asparagus.
