Easy Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

  • 2 large Granny Smith apples, peeled and cored
  • 2 (8-oz) cans refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 (12-oz) can Mountain Dew

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Cut each apple into 8 wedges. Separate crescent rolls, and place one apple wedge at widest end of each triangle. Roll up and place in a lightly greased 13-x 9-inch baking dish.
  2. Combine butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved; remove from heat, and stir in vanilla.
  3. Stir in soda, and pour mixture over pastry-wrapped apples.
  4. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until golden brown.
