Chocolate-Cream Cheese Brownies

Ingredients
- 1½ cups butter, softened
- 1½ cups packed brown sugar
- 1½ cups granulated sugar, divided
- 6 large eggs, divided
- 2 Tbsp vanilla extract, divided
- 1½ cups all purpose flour
- ¾ cup unsweetened baking cocoa
- ¼ tsp salt
- 1 (4-oz) bar semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled
- 2 (8-oz) blocks cream cheese, softened
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat butter, brown sugar, and 1 cup granulated sugar in a large bowl with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Add 4 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in 1 Tbsp vanilla.
- Stir together flour, cocoa, and ¼ tsp salt in a medium bowl. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in melted chocolate.
- Reserve 1 cup batter in a small bowl. Spread remaining batter in a foil-lined, lightly greased, 13- x 9-inch baking dish.
- Beat cream cheese and ½ cup sugar with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Beat in 2 eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in 1 Tbsp vanilla.
- Spread cream cheese mixture over brownie batter in pan. Dollop remaining brownie batter over cream cheese mixture and swirl with a knife. Bake 35 to 40 minutes or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan 1 hour before cutting.
