Creamy Chicken and Ham Soup

Ingredients

  • ¼ cup butter
  • 1½ lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg cubed ham
  • ¼ cup all purpose flour
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tsp Dijon mustard 
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 (8-oz) pkg shredded mozzarella cheese 

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat; add chicken and ham. Cook, stirring occasionally, until chicken is done. Add flour; cook, stirring constantly, 2 minutes.
  2. Gradually stir in broth and milk; bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer until slightly thickened. Stir in mustard, and garlic salt.
  3. Gradually add cheese, stirring until melted. Season with salt and pepper, if desired.

  • 1 (6-count) pkg frozen garlic breadsticks

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Bake breadsticks according to package directions.
