Apple-Sage Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 (8-oz) bone in pork chops
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 2 Tbsp butter, divided
  • 3 Honeycrisp apples, cored and sliced
  • 1 cup sliced onions
  • 2 Tbsp minced garlic
  • ½ cup gluten free chicken broth
  • ½ cup white wine
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh sage

Instructions

  1. Sprinkle pork with salt and pepper. Cook pork, in 2 batches, in 1 Tbsp melted butter in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat 3 minutes per side or until browned. Remove from skillet, and keep warm.
  2. Melt 1 Tbsp butter in same skillet; add apples, onions, and garlic. Cook 3 minutes or until crisp-tender. Add broth, wine, and sage, scraping skillet to loosen browned bits; return pork to skillet. Cook 5 to 6 minutes or until sauce is thickened.

Side Dish Ingredients

  • 1½ lb green beans, trimmed
  • 3 Tbsp butter
  • ¼ cup chopped pecans
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp salt

Side Dish Instructions

  1. Steam green beans in a steamer basket over simmering water 5 minutes or until crisp-tender.
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in a small skillet over medium heat. Add nuts and garlic; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until fragrant.
  3. Place green beans in a bowl; toss with salt, and sprinkle with nut mixture.
