Dark Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup packed dark brown sugar
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- ½ cup special dark baking cocoa
- 1 tsp baking soda
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F. Beat butter and sugars in a large bowl with a mixer at medium speed until fluffy. Add egg, beating well. Beat in vanilla.
- Whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt in a bowl. Gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating until blended. Shape dough into 2-inch balls.
- Place dough balls 2 inches apart on parchment paper-lined baking sheets; gently flatten cookies.
- Bake 12 to 14 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. Cool on pans 2 minutes. Remove from pans and cool completely on wire racks.
