Strawberry-Serrano Margaritas

Ingredients
- ¼ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 1 serrano pepper, halved and seeded
- 1 (16-oz) pkg frozen whole strawberries
- ¾ cup gold tequila
- ¼ cup triple sec
- 3 Tbsp lime juice
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- Garnish: 1 lime, cut into wedges
Instructions
- Combine sugar, water, and serrano pepper in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Remove from heat; cool to room temperature, about 15 to 20 minutes.
- Strain mixture, discarding pepper. Cover and chill syrup up to 2 weeks.
- Process strawberries, tequila, triple sec, lime juice, lemon juice, and serrano simple syrup in a blender until smooth. Pour into margarita glasses to serve. Garnish, if desired.
